You may seen that LEGO have recently launched LEGO Life; a social network app aimed at children under the age of 13. On LEGO’s website parents can sign up to receive the LEGO Life magazine if their children are aged between 5 and 9 or help their children sign up to the LEGO Life app.
In order to sign up users need a LEGO ID and for users under the age of 13 a parent’s email address is required for approval. However, there is no age limit to the site and Whilst the only way to communicate on LEGO life is through the use of emojis it is important for children to be aware that there may also be adults using the app. User names are randomly generated using three words and avatars are created using Lego. The good news for parents there are no in-app purchases!
